We should never disrespect the dead

The International media, particularly the British media, have had an insane rampage today over the tragic death of a beloved soul-jazz singer, Amy Winehouse, who was found dead in her London home at the age of 27.

This news has prompted mixed reactions of sadness, despair, excitement and happiness (in some cases). More particularly, it has prompted more Rehab and drug jokes than in group therapy. We are all entitled to our own opinions, reactions and feelings.

However, it is not in our right nor anybody's right to judge the death of a person. We are in no intellectual, spiritual or mental position to condemn nor celebrate anybody's death. Whether you were a fan of Amy Winehouse or disliked her, encouraged her or condemned her substance abuse habits; is completely irrelevant in my opinion.

We should not disrespect the dead in any case.
